Have you eaten in a foreign restaurant?

I have eaten in a foreign restaurant, and I made a mistake. When I was child, I went to French restaurant with my family. Then there were a lot of knives and forks, so I didn't know which knife and fork I should use first. And then, I tried to use from the first inside knife and fork, but my mother taught me that I made a mistake. Now I know the turn for using knives and forks. We should use knives and forks from outside.
